I have painted across the spectrum of Art and though I have painted what one would call “Fine Art” of the “Classical” Style, I have to say that it is something that I avoid altogether now in my Paintings, as I prefer painting Contemporary, Silhouettes, Pop Art, Abstract, and of course in particular, my own Art Form that I created, “Shaftism”.

As I do paintings as well as Illustrations, Cartoons and Graphic Design, people often ask which I prefer to do?

All of them really, it depends on many factors as to when I do one form or another.

I love Art and creating Works of Art, but I have to say that to bring out a child’s fascination and wonder, as well as to make them smile and laugh, are I believe, some of the greatest gifts you can have.

If I had to choose between winning the approval and a mass of awards for a detailed “grown up” themed picture from some Art Body, or just doing a lovely illustration or cartoon that makes someone laugh or a child smile and their eyes sparkle … then there is no choice, a cartoon or illustration I will draw every time. It's a wonderful thing to bring laughter and humour to the world.
